Atenara Journeys is a boutique, Egypt-based travel-planning studio. We design private, tailor-made journeys for couples, families and small private groups who want Egypt considered carefully rather than run to a schedule.

Each proposal is composed for one party at a time — no fixed departures, no shared groups. Guides, vehicles, vessels and stays are selected for each itinerary and confirmed in your personalised proposal, subject to availability and any required permissions.

We do not try to be the largest travel company in Egypt. We try to be the one you would recommend to a close friend without hesitation.

The founder

Aladdin Mohammed

Founder & Journey Designer

Aladdin has worked independently in Egypt tourism since 2017, coordinating journeys, transport and on-the-ground guest support across the country. He founded Atenara to give travellers a more personal way to experience Egypt: thoughtfully paced itineraries shaped around history, culture and local life.

A graduate of Ain Shams University with a Bachelor of Laws in International Law and Legal Studies, he brings careful planning, clear communication and close attention to every journey.

How we work

Four things we hold to.

Private and tailor-made

Every journey is planned around your party alone — your interests, your pace, the season, and the way you like to travel. We do not run set departures or group tours.

Based in Egypt

We plan from Egypt and work with Egyptologist guides, drivers, felucca captains and vessel operators on a case-by-case basis. Suppliers are selected for each itinerary, subject to availability.

Considered, not scripted

Proposals are written for you, not pulled from a shelf. We describe what is realistic, what is confirmable, and what depends on permissions and availability — before you commit.

One planner, one thread

A main planner is your point of contact from first message through your trip. In-trip contact arrangements — including WhatsApp availability where connectivity allows — are agreed in advance and stated in your personalised proposal.
