What we would build around.
- N° 01An optional Mount Sinai sunrise hike — physically demanding, undertaken at night and in cold conditions, and only where permitted
- N° 02The Saint Catherine area and monastery, subject to opening times, permissions, weather and security conditions
- N° 03Coastal rest time at Dahab and the Red Sea shore
- N° 04Short, flexible days with generous margins for weather and road conditions
The rhythm of the trip.
A sample cadence. Everything is negotiable — pace, order, additions, and quiet days.
- Day 01Arrive Sharm El Sheikh
Private greeting and transfer to the coast. Nothing scheduled on arrival day.
- Day 02The coast, gently
A slow first full day by the sea. Any boat, snorkelling or diving activity is optional, arranged with a licensed local operator, and depends on weather, sea state, medical fitness and operator conditions.
- Day 03Into the mountains
The road inland to the Saint Catherine area. Altitude and night temperatures are markedly cooler than the coast; warm clothing is essential.
- Day 04Sunrise, optional
An optional pre-dawn ascent of Mount Sinai with a local guide where permitted. It is a long, steep, unlit walk and is not suitable for everyone. A camel is sometimes available for part of the lower route from independent local handlers; this is never guaranteed and is arranged locally at your discretion. The Saint Catherine monastery visit follows, subject to opening times and permissions on the day.
- Day 05Dahab
The road down to Dahab and a quiet afternoon on the shore.
- Day 06Depart
Transfer to Sharm El Sheikh for your onward flight.

Explore staysTravellers comfortable with early starts, uneven ground and modest mountain accommodation, who want landscape and quiet rather than a full antiquities itinerary.
Season: March to May and September to November are most comfortable. Winter nights in the mountains are very cold; summer days on the coast are extremely hot. Routes may change or close at short notice for weather, permissions or security reasons.
