Nile Cruises
Four to seven nights on a small traditional dahabiya between Esna and Aswan — the way the Nile was meant to be seen.
We favour small traditional dahabiyas over the large Nile cruise ships — two-masted sailboats with a handful of cabins, a private crew, and the ability to stop at quieter sites the big vessels can't reach.
You'll visit temples on quiet river banks, eat under a lateen sail, and, by night three, be on Nile time. Exact vessel and cabin availability are confirmed in your proposal.
What we would not let you miss.
- N° 01A small traditional Nile dahabiya with a private crew and chef
- N° 02Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Gebel Silsila, Beni Hassan
- N° 03Swim stops in a mid-river channel
- N° 04Dinners on the river
- N° 05A pace no large ship can offer
Nile Cruises, seen closer.

The calendar, honestly.
Peak months are what most guidebooks recommend. Shoulder months are our favourites — warmer light, thinner crowds, and better rates. Warm months are possible but demand a slower pace.
Three moments we might build for you.
A private sailing
The boat, crew and itinerary shaped around your party. Cabin count and exact vessel confirmed in your proposal, subject to availability.
The temples between
Gebel Silsila, El-Kab, and quieter quarry sites large ships can't easily reach.
Dinner on the river
Long tables, lanterns, and the water lapping alongside.
The quiet details.
- Direction
- South-to-north uses the current; north-to-south uses the sails. Both are lovely.
- Season
- October through April is ideal; May–September is possible but hot.
- Boat size
- We favour four- to eight-cabin dahabiyas. Anything larger changes the experience.
