Giza & the Pyramids
The oldest wonder still standing

Giza & the Pyramids

The Pyramids plateau is not a photograph — it is a place, and how you arrive there matters.

An overview

Almost everyone visits Giza. Very few visit it well. The difference is timing, private guiding, and the person standing beside you.

We plan the plateau for early in the day, when the light is best and the site quieter. Special arrangements outside standard opening hours can be requested, subject to the site authority's rules and availability.

The essentials

What we would not let you miss.

  • N° 01An early start planned around the site's official opening (subject to current arrangements and visitor levels)
  • N° 02Interior visits to selected pyramids with an Egyptologist (subject to daily quotas)
  • N° 03The Solar Boat Museum and Khufu's cedar barge
  • N° 04Sunset from a nearby escarpment terrace
  • N° 05Saqqara's step pyramid and the tomb of Mereruka nearby

When to go

The calendar, honestly.

Peak months are what most guidebooks recommend. Shoulder months are our favourites — warmer light, thinner crowds, and better rates. Warm months are possible but demand a slower pace.

Sample experiences

Three moments we might build for you.

N° 01

Early on the plateau

An early start planned around the site's official opening. Actual visitor numbers vary and no crowd-avoidance can be guaranteed; opening times are set by the site authority and confirmed in your proposal.

N° 02

Inside a pyramid

A guided interior visit — an Egyptologist guide can be requested where suited to the route, subject to availability, the site's daily quotas and separate ticketing.

N° 03

Sunset with a view

Sundowners at a nearby escarpment restaurant or terrace, chosen for the light on the pyramids at the end of the day.

Practical notes

The quiet details.

Timing
Dawn is peerless. If dawn is impossible, the last hour before closing runs it a close second.
Inside the pyramid
The interior climb is steep and airless. We can arrange, or skip, without judgment.
The new museum
The Grand Egyptian Museum sits at the edge of the plateau. Plan a full day if you want to see both properly.
