Day by day

The rhythm of the trip.

A sample cadence. Everything is negotiable — pace, order, additions, and quiet days.

  1. Day 01
    Arrive Cairo

Private greeting. A slow evening; tomorrow is long and rewarding.

  2. Day 02
    The Grand Egyptian Museum

Half a day inside the GEM with a specialist guide (Egyptologist requested where suited to the route). Afternoon: the pyramids of Giza and the Solar Boat.

  3. Day 03
    Islamic & Coptic Cairo

Al-Muizz Street on foot with a historian; the Ben Ezra synagogue, the Hanging Church, and lunch in an atmospheric Old Cairo setting.

  4. Day 04
    Fly Luxor

Morning flight. Karnak in the late afternoon. Sunset drinks on a hotel terrace.

  5. Day 05
    West Bank

Valley of the Kings, Deir el-Bahari, the Ramesseum, and the Tombs of the Nobles — quieter, and exquisite.

  6. Day 06
    Luxor & Dendera

A day trip north to Dendera and the temple of Hathor — one of Egypt's best-preserved and least-visited.

  7. Day 07
    Return to Cairo

Fly back to Cairo. A closing dinner at a considered restaurant. Onward departure the next morning.
