Overview

A journey shaped by how you want to travel.

A sample private journey written for families travelling together. Later starts where they make sense, shorter site visits told as stories rather than lectures, felucca time on the river and real rest built into the middle of the day. Dates, guiding, transport and properties are confirmed only in your personalised proposal.

Every element listed here is a customisable starting point. Once you enquire, we rewrite the itinerary around your party, calendar and pace; final arrangements are confirmed in your personalised proposal, subject to availability.

Highlights

What we would build around.

  • N° 01Family-paced days with later starts and unhurried afternoons where the route allows
  • N° 02Museum and temple visits told as storytelling, with a guide requested to suit the ages travelling
  • N° 03Felucca time on the Nile at Aswan, weather and river conditions permitting
  • N° 04Rest periods built into the middle of the day rather than added at the end
Day by day

The rhythm of the trip.

A sample cadence. Everything is negotiable — pace, order, additions, and quiet days.

  1. Day 01
    Arrive Cairo

Private airport greeting and transfer. Nothing scheduled beyond settling in and eating well.

  2. Day 02
    Giza at a family pace

A morning on the plateau with a guide, kept short and vivid. Interior visits can be requested and depend on daily quotas, separate ticketing and how the group is feeling on the day.

  3. Day 03
    Grand Egyptian Museum

Guided hours at the museum, chosen galleries rather than all of them, followed by a free afternoon.

  4. Day 04
    Old Cairo and the bazaar

A gentle walk through Coptic Cairo and, if energy allows, an hour in Khan el-Khalili. Opening times and access are subject to change.

  5. Day 05
    Fly to Luxor

Morning flight south. Afternoon at leisure; Luxor Temple in the cooler evening light if the group is willing.

  6. Day 06
    The West Bank, early

An early start to the Valley of the Kings while it is cool, then back for a long lunch and a swim. Tomb selection is rotated by the authorities and confirmed on the day.

  7. Day 07
Karnak, then the road or river to Aswan

Karnak in the morning, then the transfer south. The exact mode of travel is confirmed in your proposal.

  8. Day 08
    Aswan and the felucca

A slow Aswan day — the botanical island, Nubian colour and time on a felucca, subject to weather and river conditions.

  9. Day 09
    Depart

Flight to Cairo for your onward connection, with a private transfer at each end.
